Thank you for considering my network of clinically practicing, licensed, and board certified Physician Assistants for expert review consultation in cases that involve a physician assistant.
In sum, I provide three services:
1) Case review, deposition and testimony on the standard of care of physician assistants in the clinical areas for which I am highly qualified;
2) Coordination of these same services for all medical specialties through my network of available PA experts in speciality practice;
3) Identification and referral of qualified PA experts that meet specific needs for specialty practice, geographic location or confidentiality.
When my services include other PA experts, I provide assistance to them for no additional fee. Whether you hire me or one of my experts through the PA Experts Network, the rates are the same.
The customary hourly fee charged by the PA Experts Network is at or below industry standards and includes a flat per diem for testimony. Any of our experts would be happy to assist you in cases where a physician assistant review is desired. Remember, there is no fee for an initial phone consultation. Should you decide to use our services, a retainer is requested that will be credited to services. Please email or call me for a sample of our service agreement. History of the PA Experts Network (PAEN)
Working in PA Education and in state and national PA leadership for many years, I possess an intimate knowledge of the profession. When I became Direcor of the University of Wisconsin PA Program, I was approached by a Wisconsin insurance company to give my opinion on the medical care provided by a PA and his supervising physician. Since that time, requests for my assistance from insurance companies and attorneys around the nation have increased to the point where the need for a Network of competent PAs in all medical specialties became obvious. The idea of developing a PA expert base in all specialities was an easy one. Saving attorneys' time by locating qualified PA Experts that meet the particulars of each case is a service that I am well-positioned to provide. In addition to my prior leadership experience in the profession, I am now the president of the American Academy of PAs in Legal Medicine, a caucus of our national PA professional organization. We collect data on PAs nationwide who have been involved in reviewing cases, we provide education to PAs on the litigation process, on working with attorneys, and on providing depositions and testimony. We also educate fellow practicing PAs on their own liability and risk management. I continue to provide services as a PA Expert witness, but I also now manage a network of other highly qualified PAs who have experience doing the same from multiple specialties. |
